Georgian Nordic Outdoor Activity Centre invites youth athletes up to U18 to participate in the Bob Rumball Camp of the Deaf King’s Court 2022.

Note: Due to the poor snow condition expected at the Camp of the Deaf, the event will be at
Georgian Nordic Outdoor Activity Centre.
This is NOT a SOD Paraffin Race Series event. This event is meant to be a fun skate skiing sprint. We are exploring a new location for cross-country skiing events. It will be an entirely outdoor event (bring jackets to keep warm...).

Sprint Qualifier events start at 10:30 am. Individual starts with 30 seconds intervals.

Following the qualifier, all athletes will have the opportunity to ski three King’s Court Sprint Heats (quarter finals, semi-finals, and finals). Start groups for all races will be determined once registration closes, and may involve collapsing genders or ages. Start position within a group for the qualifier race will be determined by random draw.

There will be no "draw prizes" or awards.

Mandatory full vaccination status (2 doses PLUS 2 weeks since the second dose) by registration deadline for those with Year of Birth of 2009 or earlier. Government provided Proof of Vaccination (POV) required. This applies to all registered skiers, coaches, volunteers and officials. YOB of 2010 or later are exempted. If you are unwilling or unable to provide your Proof of Vaccination, then do not register for this event.
Please be aware that you will also need to do a Covid screening questionnaire upon arrival at Georgian Nordic.
Ski Waxing Protocol
In order to increase accessibility of the sport, focus on athlete development and reduce costs, ONLY the use of non-fluoro (NF) liquids, gels, buffer waxes and paraffin glide waxes will be permitted. Hardeners and Non-Fluoro (NF) powders are also NOT permitted. These restrictions apply to ALL categories but do not apply to grip waxes. Let’s make this a fun race for everyone!
