The Elgin Eco Association is very excited to announce that on May 25, 2024, we will be hosting our very first Gravel Bike Ride! On that day we are hoping to welcome many participants so we are offering a few different route length options.

This event will be a fun ride, touring the back scenic and hilly country roads which the Elgin area is known for. Riders can expect to see three distances to choose from. The routes will be clearly signed and on a combination asphalt and dirt roads. The beginning of the ride will be the scenic bike ride along the Pollett river on the asphalt to get the legs warmed up and heart rate going. Routes will extend from there and riders can choose an overall ride of approximately 30 - 40 km, 50 – 60 km or 80 – 100km. Please choose your route with your riding ability and endurance in mind. The routes will have lots of elevation changes.

For those choosing the longest route, a vehicle will be provided to take your small bag of supplies and your personal re-fueling snacks to a designated feeder station. Please have your name clearly marked on your bag. As always, there will also be sweep riders to ensure rider support is available if required.

Join us after the race for a little barbecue and social time, which is all included in your registration fee.

80 - 100 km: 9:00 AM

50 - 60 km: 10:30 AM

30 - 40 km: 12:00 PM
