Wentworth bike park and Hub Cycle Truro present:


" The SpokeBender 50"


An Epic long distance Mountain Bike race hosted in the Wentworth Bike Park, in conjunction with Hub Cycle Truro and Cycling Nova Scotia.

Race Options:

1 lap. 17km with 700m climbing/descending

2 laps 34km  with 1400m climbing/descending

3 laps 51km  with 2100m climbing/descending

E-bike 3 laps 51km with 2100m climbing/descending

Youth/Novice lap option:

6km with 230m climb and descent

Schedule: 8:30-9:30 Registration/chip pick up

9:30- Rider meeting at the Barn

10am- Le Mans style race start

4pm- last lap cut off

5-6pm- Awards at Barn


All race categories will start “Le Mans” style with a short run to your bicycle.

The Race lap is as follows:

Le Mans start near the barn area

Across the bottom

Up the “Schooner” green trail

Down “Why Not” trail to bottom

Across the bottom

Up the robins and chickadee to top of the mountain

Across “Connector”

Down full “Kitchen Party” to the climb zone climb trail

Up the “Climb Trail”

Down “Hakuna Matata “

to the Orchard skills park / Barn start area.

Youth \Novice race lap is as follows:

Le Mans start near the Barn,

Across the bottom,

Up schooner green trail,

Down Why Not blue trail to youth finish at bottom.


Please note the "Schooner" and "Why Not" trails will be closed until race day.


All racers must be Cycling NS Provincial or UCI License holders to race. All licenses can be purchased at https://cyclingns.ca/join-bns-racing-technical/ You can purchase a One Event Membership but this is ONLY good for this race.


All racers must also have a Wentworth Bike Park Season Pass or Day Pass. There is an option on the registration form to purchase a day pass ($20) for those who need one.

This is a self sufficient race and you must be prepared with a cell phone, food, water and any tools needed for trail side repair.  There will be bike patrol available for emergencies.

There will be feed stations located at the top of climb 2 and the top of climb 3 area with water, granola bars, energy gels and electrolyte mix. Racers can pre drop a small bag of provisions to be placed at a feed station the morning of the race.

The longer distance and faster categories will start first, with youth/Novice start being the final departure.

Non racers parents/guardians can follow their youth riders so long as they are also a Cycling NS member (General or License holder. General Memberships can be purchased here: https://cyclingns.ca/membership/
