IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
We are going to move the race start time to 11:30 so that we have more time for the temperature to increase. The good news is that most of the trails are in the forest where there will be less wind. Wind exposure will be at the start and finish. We have a large warm indoor space, washrooms included, for racers and their support people to spend the day. No food is available for sale the day of the race.
We have reduced the 7.5 km distance to 6.5 km. We are going to start with the 6.5 km race and then move to the decreasing distances. We are planning to have the U14 and younger racers begin their race around 1:00 with the hopes that the temp hits -15. The forecast is currently calling for -14/-15 around 1:00 so we are hoping that the U14 and younger races are a go. The U14 and younger race may still be cancelled the day of if the temp does not reach -15.

. If you register a U14 and younger racer after 4:15 pm on Thursday, Jan. 22nd and the race gets cancelled the day of, you will NOT be reimbursed. If the race is cancelled for U14 or younger, the racer and their family will be permitted to ski the trails at no charge once the race is finished.
Some years we hope for snow… some years we hope for warmth. Thank you for your patience as we navigate keeping people safe. We do have some great draw prizes though!!

Bib Pickup: begins at 9:30 am inside upper level of pavilion (the big brick building)

Parking is available in the upper lot by the pavilion and the lower lot by the green garage

Coaches Meeting: 11:00 am inside of the upper level of the pavilion

Waxing Protocols
In order to increase accessibility of the sport, focus on athlete development and reduce costs, ONLY the use of non-fluoro (NF) liquids, gells, buffer waxes and paraffin glide waxes will be permitted. Hardners and Non-Fluoro (NF) powders are also NOT permitted. These restrictions apply to ALL categories. Let's make this a fun race or everyone!
